Mike Clopton was a dear friend of mine for a long time
and
a cohort in our gleeful creative rebellion.
They broke the mold after they made Mike Clopton.
He was a great mind, great company, and too much
of an individual for this world.
The cause of his tragic death, as with many others,
was to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Mike perished on a Nashville freeway on March 17, 2007,
due to inadequately secured freight breaking loose and
causing chaos on the road.
This album features some
songs on which he
played or co-wrote
with me.
It is
dedicated
to
his
memory.
Mike, you are missed.
